Congratulations 2012 Business Partners of the Year

The Martin County School District is proud to announce that Team Parks Construction and Keiser University have been named the Martin County School District's 2012 Business Partners of the Year. The Business Partners of the Year are chosen based on their commitment, creativity and innovation in supporting our schools and District.

Team Parks Construction, through the work of its Executive Vice President Ryan Strom, was nominated by the District's Adult, Secondary and Virtual Education Programs for its ongoing efforts on behalf of the District's Career Academies. Mr. Strom volunteers as Chairman of the Strategic Planning Cadre Committee. In addition, he serves as a Board Member for the Education Foundation of Martin County and the Economic Development Council. With his keen knowledge of local industries, Mr. Strom has worked to increase community partnerships for the District's Career Academies while also focusing on long-range planning to ensure the District's Career Academies support the development of Martin County's future workforce.

"Team Parks is honored to be chosen for this award, and we encourage our business and community leaders to get more engaged with these incredible programs in our schools. We have lots of amazing and talented students and faculty here in Martin County, who will benefit greatly from better business involvement," said Ryan Strom.
"We truly have outstanding business partners in Martin County. Ryan Strom of Team Parks Construction and Linda Fitzpatrick of Keiser University are incredible examples of the positive impact local businesses have on the success of our schools. They are each committed to going the extra mile for our students and are always willing to take on new challenges. I congratulate them for being named the District's Business Partners of the Year," said Superintendent Nancy Kline.

The District's Business Partners of the Year will be recognized by the District during the 2011-2012 Outstanding Volunteers, Mentors, and Business Partners Recognition Ceremony, which takes place on April 25th in the Stuart Middle School Cafeteria. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

The District winners will also be honored by the Florida Department of Education during the 25th Annual Commissioner's Business Recognition Awards, which will be held June 14th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tampa.
